A Snail’s Wisdom

*A Snail’s Wisdom* is a whimsical yet profound journey into a world where magic and mystery intertwine with the mundane. At its heart is Kenja, a reluctant young nan with an insatiable curiosity and a secret longing for adventure. When he discovers a seemingly ordinary snail that harbors extraordinary powers, his life is thrown into chaos. What begins as a simple quest to unravel the secrets of this strange creature soon leads Kenja into a hidden realm, where ancient forces and forgotten wisdom lie waiting to be uncovered. With each twist and turn, Kenja learns that the greatest discoveries often come from the smallest, most unlikely places. This tale of wonder and self-discovery will take readers on a journey through enchanted forests, forgotten libraries, and the depths of the human heart.

    • "A Snail's Wisdom" often revolves around the themes of patience, perspective, and the value of quiet, steady progress in a fast-paced world. In many versions of such a tale, the snail symbolizes a slow, deliberate approach to life—one that values careful thought and mindfulness over rushing toward goals.

The snail, despite its seemingly humble and slow nature, often carries profound wisdom. It teaches that true growth and understanding don’t come from speeding through life, but from taking the time to observe, reflect, and embrace the present moment. In a society that often praises quick results and instant gratification, the snail’s wisdom reminds us that the journey is as important as the destination.

Ultimately, the story suggests that slow and steady persistence, an open heart, and a willingness to learn from every small moment can lead to deeper wisdom and fulfillment than hastily chasing after external achievements.

About The Author

Amro A. Amro is a master of imagination and a self-proclaimed professional daydreamer living in New York City. With a Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering and a Master’s in Computer Science, he’s worked on projects like Halo Universe—because saving the galaxy sounded more fun than staring at code all day.

His love for storytelling was born during a childhood binge of Disney movies and a diet rich in Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon. As a teenager, he traded Saturday morning cartoons for Toonami, and when that got old, he survived on light novels and fanfiction like they were oxygen. Eventually, he discovered the fantastical worlds of Xianxia and Xuanhuan, where he was entertained endlessly by plots so wild they could only come from someone stuck between the border of lunacy and genius.

Amro’s creative passions include designing video games, writing screenplays, and dreaming up stories that will keep you up at night—whether from excitement or existential dread is entirely up to you. His writing process? Picture this: plotting stories like a mastermind villain, breaking them down into arcs and chapters, and crafting plot points so detailed they might just deserve their own reality show.

In A Snail’s Wisdom, Amro channels his personal experiences of frustration and hopelessness to capture the relatable struggle of his main character, Kenja. After all, if Kenja can navigate the trials of life, surely Amro can figure out how to find matching socks. His philosophy? God always leaves a way forward, even if it sometimes feels like a GPS that’s lost its signal.

When he’s not busy writing, Amro enjoys exploring various video games and shows, gathering inspiration for his next adventure while ensuring he does not get too caught up in the latest streaming binge. He is immensely grateful for the loving support of his family and friends, who put up with his writerly antics and remind him to eat once in a while.

A Sneak Peak of the future Volumes

Step into the world of Kenja and the Snail with this exclusive preview! A tale of unexpected magic, hidden wisdom, and quiet adventure, this novel invites you to join Kenja—a young scholar whose life is forever changed when she encounters a peculiar, powerfully mysterious snail. As secrets unfold and unexpected alliances are formed, Kenja discovers that sometimes, the most profound lessons come from the smallest creatures.

Read on for an early glimpse into Kenja’s journey, where patience and curiosity lead to life-changing discoveries. Will he be ready for the magical world he’s about to uncover?

“Ah, so you’ve stumbled upon my tale? Good. Sit down and listen—you’re in the presence of greatness. I am Snail, the rarest of rare, the most brilliant being in this Qi-starved world. Unlike Kenja—a pitiful excuse for a human who, let me tell you, has failed at life more times than I’ve had to dodge salt. Seventeen attempts, or was it eighteen attempts at that silly Flowing River Sect test, and what does he have to show for it? Nothing!

But somehow, fate has blessed him with nineteen generations’ worth of fortune! He fumbled into the Lost Forest, a place where lesser beings meet their doom, yet even his doom failed to take him. Naturally, once he met me, he couldn’t resist trying to steal my precious shell. The nerve!

Still, I saw… potential. Maybe this bumbling fool could be molded into something less pathetic. Or maybe he’ll just regret crossing paths with me. Either way, my magnificence will shine. So, will Kenja rise to greatness under my stellar guidance, or will he crumble under the weight of his own incompetence? If you wax my shell, I might be persuaded to finish the tale.”

“Welcome back. Clearly, you can’t resist the allure of my brilliance—don’t blame you. Now, listen closely, for this chapter involves swords, royalty, and once again, me doing all the work.

So we have Kenja, the foolish kid who bit off more than he can chew. And we can’t forget the glorified chunk of metal stuck in a boulder who calls herself Sakura. A sword with opinions! Can you imagine? Vibrating and glowing like she’s the main character. She’s sharp, sure—physically—but her attitude? As blunt as a rusty butter knife.

Kenja, being the scrawny loser he is, freed her. Don’t ask me how—there was trickery, deception, and my blameless oversight, no doubt. Then, as if being saddled with a sentient scrap of cutlery wasn’t enough, the boy tricked me into cooperating with him. Me! A being of unparalleled wisdom and grace!

Mark my words, he shall rue the day, and that day shall be today! I fool him into wearing a dress. Hah! That’s right. Revenge is a dish best served hot and steamy!

Together, we escape that abominable forest, and then—oh, this part’s good—he meets a princess. Yes, a real, bonafide royal. Imagine that. Kenja, still smelling of dirt and desperation, brushing elbows with royalty.

The boy’s aiming for his nineteenth attempt at that silly sect test, an eye-opening record even for losers. Now, with me and that drama-queen sword in tow, he thinks he might actually pass.

Should be easy, right? Well, a snail’s work is never done.

If you want to know all about it, bring me a delicacy of honeyed dew drops and crushed mint—I’ve earned it. It’s unethical to ask for something without giving a bribe!”

“Ah, back again, are we? Of course you are. My tales are irresistible. Now listen closely—Kenja finally made it into the Flowing River Sect. But get this—it’s not some grand mountain palace; it’s an underground city where disciples scurry around like ants. And Kenja? Actually, he goes by Hikaru down here. Yep, still stuck pretending to be a girl. Tragic, really. What?! I’m not snickering!
He wants to keep a low profile, but let’s be honest—it’s impossible to hide my majesty. Relax, I’ve got plenty of tricks up my, uh, shell. Doesn’t matter if it’s his sisters, the princess, the ice queen, the vice elders, the Tributaries, or the Six Elders—all of them are clueless before my expert guidance!
You’re dying to hear more, aren’t you? Well, tough luck! You’ll have to massage my neck first—I’ve been working overtime here, and a sage deserves his due.”

Testimonials

I’ll make sure to write no spoilers for this! The story  follows the main character, Kenja, and his very two unlikely companions. Both the companions happen to not be human, which leads to some extremely interesting situations. I am set on not spoiling anything, so just give it a read! The story seems chalk full of originality with some cliches sprinkled here and there, give it a chance!

A Snail’s Wisdom focuses on Kenja’s adventures to attain immortality with the help of Snail-sensei and his sword. Kenja is such an admirable protagonist. He’s realistically portrayed with human faults but he shines with his maturity and intelligence which perfectly balance out Snail’s shameless and impulsive behaviors

I got hooked to this immediately. Can’t believe I ended up binge reading the entirety of this. The overall setup and plot was intriguing and paved a way to a mixture of emotions. The character development was unique and as a reader, it felt quite intimate. The plot was well paced and had its moments of subtle shock followed by reassuring and encouraging elements. Even though my imagination was on point for me personally, I would absolutely love to see this story get adapted into an anime sometime. Outstanding work and can’t wait to read more of this amazing adventure!

If you like Cultivation Chat Room, you’ll like this. It is funny, smart, interesting, and addicting.

One of the best stories on this site and it is an original content.

Currently the characters are well developed unlike most Cultivation stories; I hope it continues to do so. Some of heriones are at risk of becoming 1-2D but since they have yet to recieve much screen time, they still have time to show their individuality instead of becoming a part of a stereotypical collection like many cultivation stories.

It is still at 67 chapters and I hope the quality remains the same or improves as the story progresses.

Here, ill give you a hate review so you can have this feeling of being showered with goodness again!

Because this novel is a masterpiece of this world, and on other planes of existence, without compare; I am not worthy to write a review on it. I have decided to write a review of the requirements for a reader to partake in this enlightened-dragon-master-godly work.

Interpolation Requirement: 70

If you, the reader, are unable to consume line after line of text, insert commas, full stops, attribute voice and interpolate on the fly you will not be able to follow this story. This is not the fault of the author. It is yours for not being of adequate interpolation level. Please go and read forty thousands chapters of machine translated novels and return to attempt again if you cannot comprehend the magnitude of these works.

Cipher Level Requirement: 67

If the reader is experiencing difficulties working out what just happened and you read the section over again. And again and you finally think you know what has happened. If this is you. You need more training. You have not reached the cipher level requirement to enjoy this masterpiece. This work is beyond you acolyte. The masterpiece does not need to explain to you why… No novel for you today. Come back tomorrow.

Interpretation Level Requirement: Ninth Gate of the Elder Dragon

If a reader is unable to open the nine gates of the elder dragon reading they will not be able to interpret and comprehend this work. Skully the disembodied floating undead skull who has lived for forty centuries, who starting reading hieroglyphics as a child’s finger bone is struggling. You mere mortal have no chance. Because adding descriptions of characters into the story is beneath the Master. That is the domain of mere mortals.

As a test, if you are unable to comprehend this review. Go. Read another billion words. Unless you can read with your eyes closed and you can see Mount Tai from the inside of your eyelids you are not ready for this fiction.

Suggestion to Author regarding equipment: I think you need to replace your keyboard. The enter key, comma and full stop keys are only working twenty percent of the time.

Please continue, awesome writing. I am intrigued by the characters you made your story about, as I asked myself what could be there to write about a snail, and here you go shockingly amazing.

Novelden

This is the first Eastern+cultivation novel I have ever read and I don’t regret spending my time on it. It is written quite brilliantly. It might take two to three chapters before you are submerged and transported to another world but wait for it because it’s a book worth giving shot.

I added this book to my library in the beginning because of the way the chapters were written. Firstly, having read a lot of books online not everyone has the ability to conjure a writing style that pretty much feels like reading a physical book you would pick from a store. Secondly, not everyone maintains the same quality of writing throughout the story. This one had been consistent when it comes to quality. The chapters are long enough to keep the momentum of the story.

The chapters are smooth with no awkward transition. There is a good amount of description, detailing the scenes and setting of where which has its own world. Coming to the characters, hmm.

Let’s start with Kenja the main lead of the book. He has a down to earth personality, rational and mature who has the ability to handle people well. After coming across a lot ML who are either conceited or trying to be smug with a smirk on their face, Kenja is a breath of fresh air. And then we have our beloved snail-sensei (should call him sly-sensei), he’s witty and charming. Quite a character who keeps taking credit for no reason ಠ_ಠ (you will love him). We have other characters who aren’t 2D which you will find as you read the book like Kimura-san, Hime-sama, and other ones like, well, for the rest go read the book!

For a person who enjoys romance/supernatural fiction who never took an interest in this genre of story, you have managed to keep me hooked.

Ahem, I was told the chapters would be updated soon and around the corner, so I shall wait ^.^

Out of all of the original novels I’ve skimmed through so far, I am most interested in this one. Although we haven’t seen much of the story or world, the characters so far have all been pretty interesting and I’m excited to see where this all goes.
